Georgian President Issues Statement on Armenia and Azerbaijan
During a meeting with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili stated that Georgia views positively the preliminary signing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He emphasized that Georgia supports the establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus and is ready to continue its participation in this process if necessary.
Today, a private conversation took place at the residence of the Georgian president between Vahagn Khachaturyan and Mikheil Saakashvili. Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan is on an official visit to Georgia from November 19 to 20. Meetings with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Shalva Papuashvili are also scheduled during the visit.
