Yerevan Creates a New Traffic Management Center: Details

The continuous growth of the number of vehicles in Yerevan, the rapid increase in road traffic volumes, the ongoing reforms in public transport, and the need to enhance safety in the urban environment require a more organized approach to traffic management processes.

In this context, a proposal to establish a traffic management center in Yerevan was presented at today's city council meeting, receiving a positive conclusion.

The new entity will focus on the development and implementation of a traffic management system, as well as the introduction of smart and efficient control technologies. It is planned to utilize intelligent traffic lights, conduct comprehensive analysis of transport flows, and engage relevant technological solutions to improve the city’s mobility.

Within this framework, a separate specialized community organization will be established to more effectively carry out traffic monitoring and planning.
