Lawyer Artush Hakobyan has announced on his Facebook page: "On October 20, 2025, during the arrest of Gyumri community leader V. Ghukasian, a criminal case was initiated regarding mass disturbances and interference in the administration of justice at Vardanants Square in Gyumri. The accused, Narek Kolya Ghukasyan (who has recently become an adult, a 12th-grade student with high academic performance), was subjected to arrest as a measure of restraint by the Shirak regional court on October 23, 2025. The Court of Cassation, presided by V. Rashtun, has accepted the special review appeal filed by defense attorney A. Hakobyan and has rejected the investigator's motion to apply detention as a restraint measure. Soon, Narek Ghukasyan will be free," he wrote.
