Tigran Avinyan on the Creation of a New Municipal Agency for Traffic Management in the Capital

The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has addressed the establishment of a new municipal agency for traffic management in the capital.

"In Yerevantrans, we had dispatchers, but the function of public transport management had long since become a fiction. Now that function — managing public transport and punctual delivery — will be transferred to the new agency. Everything there will be implemented through digital technologies, using GIS systems and other modern tools.

"It’s not that we are creating entirely new functions; they already existed. However, over time, the old methods of solving the problem have become insufficient. In the new agency, we will apply much more digitized and effective methods," said the Mayor.
