Negotiations in Istanbul Proceeding Without Moscow's Participation, Says Peskov

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated in an interview with reporters that negotiations in Turkey are taking place without Moscow's participation. It was previously announced that U.S. Special Representative Witkoff will visit Istanbul and participate in talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“For now, these communications are proceeding without Russia’s involvement,” Peskov noted.

According to Peskov, Putin is open to dialogue if Witkoff or representatives of the Turkish government deem it necessary to inform him about the meetings occurring in Istanbul.

Peskov also mentioned that Moscow has not received any message from Kyiv regarding the intention to resume negotiations.
