Details on the Incident of Hooliganism by a Group of Individuals in Mrdzavan

The investigation into a case of hooliganism committed by a group of individuals has been completed at the Armavir Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. During the investigation, evident factual data was obtained indicating that on October 5, 2025, a group of individuals blocked the road of another vehicle on Aigegortsner Street in the residential area of Mrdzavan, preventing it from continuing its journey.

After getting out of their vehicles, the group intentionally engaged in hooliganism, arguing with the other party without any reason, and inflicting mutual blows. The members of the group expressed disrespect towards the public, demonstrating a blatant disregard for legal and moral norms while also throwing stones in the direction of others. Legal action has been initiated against three individuals for public criminal prosecution under Article 297, Part 2, Item 1 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of individuals). For one individual, pre-trial detention has been applied as a measure of restraint. The criminal case has been sent to the supervising prosecutor with an accusatory conclusion, requesting it to be forwarded to the court for substantive examination.
