Until Samvel Karapetyan's Notorious Statement, No Process Was Taking Place with HETC: Narek Karapetyan
Until Samvel Karapetyan's notorious statement, no process was taking place with the Electric Networks of Armenia (HETC), Narek Karapetyan, the vice president of the Tashir Group, said in a conversation with journalists.
He mentioned that they have no evidence of property rights violations prior to Karapetyan's announcement. “However, I must point out that the ruling of the Stockholm arbitration is not being executed, which obliged Armenia not to carry out such a decision. I want to inform our people that what is happening with HETC is a consequence of Samvel Karapetyan's statement. We are prepared to bear the business consequences for our beliefs. Our leader is ready to remain detained for his convictions. Many say that Armenian entrepreneurs are only for making money, but many entrepreneurs have a significant ideological foundation and are ready to face all pressures and financial losses just to pursue their ideas,” he added.
Commenting on Romanos Petrosyan's statement that the Karapetyan family should be grateful to him for the significant savings achieved at HETC, Narek Karapetyan noted, “If there had not been a violation of property rights, we could have considered what savings and results had been achieved. However, the appointment of the manager was accompanied by a gross violation of property rights. For this reason, we cannot be grateful to anyone who has played a role in the violation of property rights in Armenia.”
It should be noted that the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) decided to revoke the operating license of the Electric Networks of Armenia.
