New Evidence of Azerbaijani Atrocities Sent to International Bodies, Ombudsman Says
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, announced on his Facebook page: "Today, we are sending new evidence regarding Azerbaijani atrocities during and after this war to international bodies. Moreover, we have compiled them into a unified package since September 27.
It is important that this time they are also being sent in a unified package to the prosecuting bodies of those countries that have universal jurisdiction.
The evidence has undergone legal processing within our staff, translations have been made from Azerbaijani or Turkish into English and Russian, and legal documentation has been carried out.
Along with that evidence, a legal analysis is also attached, which demonstrates that the Azerbaijani side is artificially delaying the return of prisoners and the exchange of the bodies of servicemen.
It also shows the link between the atrocities and the state-sponsored hatred against Armenians based on ethnic affiliation, continuing the Azerbaijani political agenda.
All materials will also be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, to the country’s permanent representatives in international organizations, to diplomatic missions of Armenia in other countries, as well as to the representative of Armenia in the European Court of Human Rights."
