How Many Mandates Did Political Forces Receive in Vagharshapat

After the local government elections in the consolidated community of Vagharshapat, each political force will receive mandates corresponding to the number of votes they received. The ruling party, the Citizen's Decision Party (CDP), will be able to form a unilateral municipal authority. This was reported by the Central Electoral Commission.

The 33 council seats are distributed as follows: CDP - 19 mandates, “Victory” alliance - 12 mandates, “Mother Armenia” - 2 mandates. This means that the CDP can independently appoint a community mayor without forming a coalition with any other party.

The elections for the council took place on November 16 in the consolidated community of Vagharshapat (comprising the towns of Ejmiatsin, Koy, and Voskahat). According to the data from the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, out of 69,866 eligible voters, 31,527 participated in the voting, which accounts for 45.12%.
