CEC Issues Statement Regarding Recount Procedures

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has presented the procedures and deadlines for submitting applications for recounts. According to the Electoral Code, the deadlines for submitting requests for recounts are set for November 17 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and November 19 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Recount applications must be submitted to Electoral District 14, which conducted the elections in the Vagharshapat community. The CEC also reminds that, according to the provisions of the Electoral Code, Electoral District 14 will randomly select three polling stations from its service area through a lottery organized in accordance with the procedures established by the Central Electoral Commission, where the recorded voting results will be recounted.

Regardless of whether there will be a request for a recount, Electoral District 14 must recount the results of the three randomly selected polling stations.

It is noteworthy that in the local elections held in Vagharshapat on November 16, the Civil Contract party received 15,298 votes, led by Argishti Mekhakyan.
