Explosion at Gas Station in Akhuryan Leaves One Injured

On November 16, an emergency incident occurred in the Shirak region. Around 09:30, the Shirak regional department of the Armenian Police's Criminal Investigation Department received operational information about an explosion at one of the gas stations in the Akhuryan settlement, resulting in injuries.

According to shamshyan.com, the acting head of the Shirak regional criminal department arrived at the scene, along with the patrol service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the head of the community police department in Akhuryan.

It was confirmed that the information was accurate: as a result of the explosion of the gas station's compressor, one person was taken to Gyumri Medical Center.

A firefighting unit from the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ rescue service also arrived on the scene.

Investigators and patrol officers determined that the injured individual is 48-year-old Anatoli M., a resident of the Shirak region.

The information about the incident was transferred from the Akhuryan police department to the Shirak regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, from where an investigative group led by the responsible on-duty investigator arrived.

A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department regarding the incident.
