Minister of Internal Affairs Urges Staff to Stay Vigilant, Not to Punish

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, has met with employees of the Ministry's Internal Security and Anti-Corruption Department, as reported by the ministry.

She noted that the role of the department has evolved since the establishment of the Ministry, focusing on internal discipline and anti-corruption measures.

According to Sargsyan, the goal is to ensure heightened vigilance and procedural efficiency rather than punishing employees.

The minister emphasized the importance of commitment to objectivity as a key principle for maintaining high levels of internal discipline.

In recent activities, approximately 3,400 service investigations have been conducted, 1,112 disciplinary penalties have been applied, 86 cases have been sent to pre-trial authorities, and 77 criminal proceedings have been initiated.

Sargsyan has instructed to focus on implementing standards for the use of force in the upcoming months.
