Body Found Near Lake Sevan

Today, on November 15, a mysterious and tragic incident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. Around 1:30 PM, the Gegharkunik provincial department of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information regarding a body in Lake Sevan, near the Writers' Union rest house, reports Shamshyan.com.

Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the information was accurate; the body of a woman was found submerged in the waters of the lake and was subsequently retrieved to a safe location. A criminal case has been initiated in the Sevan investigative department, and an autopsy has been ordered by the investigator.

According to the preliminary examination by the forensic expert, no signs of foul play were found on the body. The police and investigative department are working to identify the deceased. Items have been found along the lake's shore, which are believed to belong to the deceased.
