Discussion on Possible Resignation of Zhanna Andreasian in the Civil Contract Party

The ruling Civil Contract party's board has discussed the potential resignation of Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasian. Members of the board have attempted to gauge Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's stance on the minister's removal, but he has not provided a clear answer, according to 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper.

Sources from the newspaper indicate that Sisak Gabrielian, a member of the National Assembly from the Civil Contract faction and the chairman of the Permanent Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sport, has informed his close circle that a change is imminent, and he himself is expected to be appointed as the new Minister of Education.

The newspaper attempted to clarify the accuracy of this information with Sisak Gabrielian, who briefly responded that the news does not correspond to reality.

It is noteworthy that there is dissatisfaction within the ruling party, particularly in the government and the Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly, regarding the fact that Andreasian's associate, former rector of the Pedagogical University, Srbuhi Gevorgyan, has been held accountable for being involved in corrupt practices, while Andreasian has managed to avoid any legal consequences despite being well-informed about all events occurring at the university.
