All Shipments Are Being Verified: Head of Food Safety Inspectorate on Cream Imported from Iran

Each batch of cream imported from Iran undergoes laboratory testing. This statement was made by Tigran Petrosyan, the head of the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia, during a press conference addressing reports that cream of unknown origin is being imported from Iran, which poses a risk.

“During border control, inspectors conduct both paper and physical checks. If the products imported into Armenia do not have EAEU certification, we will not allow these products to enter our country,” Petrosyan noted.

He also ruled out the possibility that any products could be imported illegally into Armenia today. At the same time, he emphasized that if anyone is aware of such an issue, they should inform them, and they will definitely take samples to check their quality.
