Kyiv Officially Halts Peace Negotiations with Moscow, Says Ukraine's Foreign Ministry
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Kyiv has officially halted peace negotiations with Moscow, according to ТАСС. "The Russian side has repeatedly emphasized that we are ready to continue direct negotiations with the Ukrainian side. Our Turkish partners have also consistently highlighted that the Istanbul platform is available to us; those doors remain open for us," Ivanov stated during the 16th Asian conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club held in Istanbul in collaboration with an Ankara institution.
Ivanov emphasized that if Kyiv demonstrates political will, they are prepared for such negotiations at any time. He noted that the Russian side has presented a number of proposals during previous rounds of negotiations. "Several initiatives have been put forward, including three online working groups. Unfortunately, we have yet to receive a positive response to these initiatives from the Ukrainian side," Ivanov added.
