One of China's Major Companies Withdraws from Purchasing Russian Oil
Reuters reports that one of China's largest oil refineries, Yanchang Petroleum, has stopped purchasing oil from Russia due to American sanctions. This refinery had previously engaged in regular purchases of Russian oil.
However, experts have informed the agency that a series of recent Western sanctions against Russian oil supplies have led Chinese state oil companies, as well as certain Indian refineries, to avoid buying it due to fears of secondary sanctions.
It is noted that Yanchang Petroleum is one of the largest oil refineries in China, with a refining capacity of 348,000 barrels per day.
