Khandanyan on the Signing of the Peace Treaty

Baku is putting forward unacceptable preconditions regarding the peace treaty, but the situation is not a deadlock. This was stated by the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Permanent Committee of the National Assembly, Sargis Khandanyan, during a press briefing in parliament.

"At this moment, I cannot say that there is a specific date for the signing of the peace treaty. The text is ready, and there are no further negotiations on it. Our expectation is to sign it as soon as possible. Azerbaijan is presenting preconditions that are not acceptable or legitimate for Armenia," Khandanyan noted.

In his opinion, by making diplomatic efforts and negotiating, it will be possible to achieve results.
