Europe Creates New Intelligence Unit

According to FT, the European Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen, is establishing a new intelligence unit to better integrate information from national intelligence services of EU countries.

The new body will assemble personnel from EU intelligence agencies and collect data for 'common objectives'. However, France and Hungary oppose this initiative, fearing leaks and a loss of control over information.
