Distribution License of HETC to be Revoked

The former acting director of the Electricity Distribution Network of Armenia (HETC), Davit Ghazinian, has made a statement regarding the situation:

"The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia plans to revoke the distribution license of the Electricity Distribution Networks of Armenia (HETC), owned by Samvel Karapetyan, on November 13. The revocation of the license, without any justification of market or technical violations, signifies a blatant infringement on property rights. This is equivalent to expropriation under the guise of compensation, which contradicts Article 60 of the Constitution of Armenia and the principles of stability and predictability in the energy sector," wrote Davit Ghazinian.
