Compliments from a Man to a Beautiful Woman Are Not as Dangerous as from a Man to a Handsome Man: Gevorg Petrosyan

According to Gevorg Petrosyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party, compliments from a man to a beautiful woman are not as dangerous as compliments from a man to a handsome man. He expressed this opinion during his speech from the National Assembly podium.

The context for his remarks stemmed from Edmond Marukyan's description of the head of Civil Aviation, Tatevik Revazyan, as 'that beautiful girl.' The topic became a point of discussion in the National Assembly today, overshadowing a specific legislative proposal, which disturbed Petrosyan.

He urged that if there is a lack of respect among lawmakers, they should at least respect the public and focus on the topic at hand from the National Assembly podium. 'What does it mean to come here with personal grief and pain to express them during discussions unrelated to the issue at hand? We are all sitting here with different interests and agendas in our lives, but attempting to editorialize your own thoughts during someone else's project discussion is a poor approach… I urge you not to act this way,' Petrosyan stated.
