The European Union Cannot Be Called a Friend on One Hand and Prepare a State Coup on the Other: Kaha Kaladze

The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kaha Kaladze, has stated that the European Union's declarations of friendship towards Georgia contradict Brussels' actual actions. According to him, on one hand, the European Union claims friendship with Georgia, while on the other hand, it supports "revolutionary, extremist, and anti-state actions."

"They call themselves our friends, but in reality, they are engaged in coup attempts, revolutions, and the promotion of extremism. This does not fall within the bounds of friendship or partnership," Kaladze noted.

The politician emphasized once again that Georgia is ready to continue cooperation with the European Union, but it must be based on mutual respect. "We have repeatedly said that we are ready for partnership and friendship. However, it cannot be one-sided. We demand only one thing – fair treatment towards Georgia, our people, and the Constitution, as well as respect for our independence," he added.
