Saudi Arabia Confirms Precondition for Normalizing Relations with Israel

Saudi Arabia has informed the United States that the recognition of the State of Palestine remains the primary condition for any potential normalization of relations with Israel. This was reported by Reuters, citing two anonymous sources.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud is set to visit Washington on November 18 for the first time since 2018, where he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. Last month, Trump expressed hope that Saudi Arabia would soon join other Muslim countries that signed the Abraham Accords in 2020 to normalize relations with Israel.

The UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco have already established relations with Israel under the Abraham Accords framework. Trump has stated that he expects an expansion of the agreements soon.
