Opposition Figures Continue to Make Wrong Bets: Marukyan

“I have had the opportunity to respond to the thesis circulating in the opposition that if Pashinyan publishes the negotiation documents, a major explosion will occur and it will be his end,” wrote Edmon Marukyan, leader of the Bright Armenia party, on his Facebook page.

“I discussed this topic in detail with Karpis Pashoyan in one of the episodes of the Platform podcast, where I stated that I exclude such a development. However, some opposition figures continue to make wrong bets, believing that the publication of these documents will become a turning point. I assure you that what is contained in those documents has long been circulating and discussed publicly. Everyone knows that there was a peace plan that was rejected by Pashinyan, which led to the 2020 war. It is also known that prior to that, the peace plan was rejected by Serzh Sargsyan during his time in power. Therefore, in this matter, neither Pashinyan's nor Sargsyan's position is advantageous. In short, dear representatives of the opposition, do not place your hopes on Pashinyan’s slowly working scanners, otherwise you will find yourselves facing the same scythe again,” he wrote.
