Director of Geghakert School in Vagharshapat Community Arrested

The director of the Geghakert School in the Vagharshapat community, Anush Hambardzumyan, has been arrested, according to sources from Sputnik Armenia.

The Anti-Corruption Committee informed us that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the violation of the ban on charitable donations.

“Based on data obtained from operational-investigative measures conducted by the committee, a criminal case has been initiated for the violation of the ban on charitable donations. In the framework of the criminal case, one individual has been arrested, and a petition has been submitted to the court for the application of remand as a measure of restraint,” the committee stated.

It is noteworthy that on October 21, a charitable event took place in one of the villages of the Vagharshapat community, attended by several candidates from the ruling Civil Contract party. During the event, many residents of the community received valuable gifts, with a candidate for the city council from the party among the gift providers.
