The Earth is expected to experience the strongest geomagnetic storm of the year, which is anticipated to be one of the most powerful in recent years. According to RIA Novosti, this information was shared by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"It is forecasted that the Earth will simultaneously enter a significant coronal hole region and will face the arrival of two plasma clouds emitted as a result of major solar eruptions that occurred two days ago. Based on data from ground and space-based monitoring systems, the first point on the day’s timeline has been completed," the statement noted.
