The Ministry of Emergency Situations Shares Details about Major Fire

A call was received regarding a fire that broke out at the food court of the "Yerevan City" shopping center on Komitas Avenue. Fire service teams arrived at the scene promptly.

According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Narek Sargsyan, a level 3 alarm has been declared for the complexity of the fire. "A total of 14 firefighting teams are involved in the firefighting efforts, with operations being managed by the Director of the Rescue Service. Citizens were evacuated before the rescuers arrived," stated Sargsyan.

At this time, there are no reports of injuries. Preliminary data indicates that the fire originated in the KFC food outlet. Efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing. According to Narek Sargsyan, two rescuers received medical assistance due to smoke inhalation.
