The Army and Budget Are No Longer Being Plundered: Taron Chakhoyan on Sargsyan

Taron Chakhoyan has responded on Facebook to the recent statements made by Serzh Sargsyan, criticizing his assessments regarding peace.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Taron Chakhoyan, the Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, remarked that Sargsyan does not see peace because soldiers are not being killed daily on the front lines anymore.

Chakhoyan noted that the former president fails to perceive peace also because it is no longer possible to plunder the army and the budget. He stated, “He does not see peace because there is no longer a way to falsify elections and seize power under the guise of 'peace.' His version of 'peace' resulted in daily soldier casualties, the plundering of the army and the budget, while power was maintained through false promises of peace.”
