Over 50 Flights Canceled in Vietnam Due to Typhoon
Due to the approaching Typhoon "Kalmagie" in central Vietnam, more than 50 flights have been canceled or rerouted. This was reported by the local news portal VnExpress.
In light of the expected deterioration of weather conditions, the national carrier Vietnam Airlines has been forced to make changes to numerous arrival and departure schedules. According to the report, flights between Ho Chi Minh City and various airports in central Vietnam have been suspended from November 6 to 7. Several flights between the capital Hanoi and central cities have been rescheduled to earlier times due to forecasted severe weather.
According to data from Vietnam's National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the tropical storm “Kalmagie,” the 13th typhoon to enter the South China Sea this year, is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the central regions of the country.
Authorities have warned the population to avoid maritime traffic and take safety measures in case of potential storm surges and flooding.
