Only 2 Teachers Should Receive Over 700,000 Drams in Compensation: Pashinyan

Starting from November 8, more than 8,000 teachers have already applied for the teacher certification process in Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proudly announced this during today’s government session.

“If my memory serves me correctly, this is the largest number we have ever had, which means that confidence and interest in the certification process have increased. This means that we will have updates in the compensation scales based on the results of January and December, and the number of teachers receiving higher salaries will increase,” the Prime Minister stated.

Pashinyan also presented the teachers’ compensation scale, detailing how much money teachers receive. According to this information, as of September 2025, there are 2,118 teachers receiving 300,000 to 400,000 drams, 863 teachers receiving 400,000 to 500,000 drams, 109 teachers receiving 500,000 to 600,000 drams, 22 teachers receiving 600,000 to 700,000 drams, and only 2 teachers receiving over 700,000 drams.

“Only two teachers in the republic have decided that they should receive over 700,000 drams,” the Prime Minister emphasized. According to him, the example of these two teachers should also serve as motivation for others.
