Netanyahu Accuses Turkey of Hostile Stance Towards Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that there should not be a conflict between Israel and Turkey, emphasizing that the relations between states should be based on a realistic approach. According to him, different countries may have complex and sometimes contradictory interests, but the important thing is not to jeopardize national interests.
“If it is possible to fully gain the support of any country, that is good, but if not, one must clearly understand who they are dealing with and not look at everything from an idealized perspective,” Netanyahu said, adding that he approaches those states that are not full allies of Israel with this principle.
He noted that in recent years, Turkey has openly taken a hostile position towards Israel and Zionism, which the Prime Minister considers regrettable, as there are no reasons for conflict between the two countries. “We look at the situation with a sober and practical eye,” he emphasized.
