Known Quantity of Wheat to be Sent to Armenia via Azerbaijan
Until the end of January 2026, an additional 132 wagons of wheat will be sent to Armenia through Azerbaijan. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Transport.
The ministry announced that the first batch of wheat has been delivered to Armenia from Russia. "Russian Railways" has organized the transportation of over 1000 tons of cargo from the Dimitrovgrad station in the Ulyanovsk region.
According to the ministry, the new logistics route became possible after the restoration of transit through Azerbaijan. This transport operation, as stated by the Russian Ministry of Transport, is the first of its kind since the 1990s. Currently, work continues in this direction for the transportation of other types of cargo as well.
