Hezbollah Officially Rejects Disarmament

The Lebanese Hezbollah movement has officially declared that it is not prepared to discuss the issue of disarmament. The organization emphasized its commitment to the country's sovereignty and rejected all initiatives that it claims could serve the interests of the "Zionist enemy."

In a statement directed to the President of Lebanon, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of Parliament, it is noted that the government’s decision to limit the monopoly on weapons to state structures was made "immediately and irresponsibly." According to the organization, this move allows external forces to once again raise the issue of "disarmament of the resistance," which "harms national interests."

Hezbollah highlighted that weapons that ensure Lebanon's defense cannot be the subject of negotiations, except in cases where discussions are conducted within the framework of a comprehensive national defense strategy.
