The Akhtoyan Family Has Been Expelled from Mrdzavan

According to NEWS.am, the Akhtoyan family, against whom residents of Mrdzavan had started a petition following the murder of Parakar community mayor Valodya Grigoryan, has been expelled from the village.

The Investigative Committee has reported that security measures were implemented during the pre-investigation of the criminal case. "We do not comment on the type of security measures," said the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Kima Avdalyan.

It should be reminded that on October 12, the residents of the community began collecting signatures demanding the expulsion of the Akhtoyan family from the village. According to circulating information, former Mrdzavan mayor and member of the ruling party, Mher Akhtoyan, is currently outside the borders of Armenia. He is the nephew of Narek Ohanyan, who is accused of assisting in the murder of Parakar community mayor Valodya Grigoryan.
