Armenia-EU Visa Liberalization Process Enters a New Phase
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Arpine Sanosyan, met with Johannes Luchner, the Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission, as part of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue.
The European Commission delegation, led by Luchner, is in Yerevan from November 5 to 6 to convey the action plan for visa liberalization to the Armenian side.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the main directions and implementation mechanisms of the program. Arpine Sanosyan noted that the visa liberalization process is an important stage in the Armenia-EU partnership, aimed at strengthening trust and expanding cooperation.
The Minister added that the action plan is a strategic document for Armenia in the areas of citizen mobility and public safety reforms. Arpine Sanosyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to continue reforms that will enable citizens to travel freely and dignifiedly to the European Union.
