Weightlifter Garik Karapetyan is Champion of the U23 European Championships

The Armenian national team secured its 6th gold medal at the ongoing European Youth and U23 Championships in Albania. According to the Weightlifting Federation, on the last day of competitions in the 110 kg category, Armenia's Garik Karapetyan performed an impressive lift of 175 kg followed by 182 kg in the snatch, earning him a gold medal in this discipline.

In the clean and jerk, he successfully lifted 210 kg and 215 kg, which placed him second in that event. With a total lift of 397 kg, Garik Karapetyan was crowned the champion of Europe among U23 athletes.
