Ukraine has met all requirements, EU says
The European Commission has announced that Ukraine has fulfilled the requirements necessary for the opening of accession negotiations in three areas: "fundamentals," "current market," and "external relations." This information was stated in a message issued by the Commission.
According to the message, Brussels expects Kyiv to complete the fulfillment of the conditions for opening the remaining three areas by the end of the year, so that the European Council can adopt the relevant decision.
The European Commission also emphasized its willingness to support the Ukrainian government in its "ambitious goal of completing negotiations by 2028." At the same time, EU institutions stressed that the success of this process depends on the acceleration of reforms, particularly in the areas of the judicial system and the rule of law.
