U.S. President Donald Trump made a post on his social media page regarding the upcoming mayoral elections in New York City. The president warned that candidate Zohra Mamdani's potential victory could turn the city into a "zone of economic and social disaster."

“Whether you prefer Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You must vote for him and hope that he will be able to perform his job well. If the communist (Mamdani) is in charge, everything will only get worse. As president, I’m not going to throw good money after bad. It’s my job to manage the country, and I am convinced that New York will become a complete economic and social disaster if Mamdani is elected,” Trump wrote.

Trump's statement has generated significant reactions within U.S. political circles. Some analysts believe that the president is trying to influence the outcome of New York's elections by openly supporting Cuomo.
