“I don’t like to think about it. But, yes, I believe it had an impact,” Trump noted in response to a journalist’s question. According to Karl, the conversation took place two days after the assassination attempt when Trump was still in the public eye as a presidential candidate. The journalist added that at that moment, Trump's voice sounded calmer than ever before.
