Pashinyan Invites Erdogan to Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that during his recent meeting with the President of Turkey, he extended an invitation for him to participate in the European Political Community summit scheduled to take place in Armenia in May 2026.

“During my last meeting with the President of Turkey, I invited him to the European Political Community summit to be held in Armenia in May 2026. I hope that this invitation will be accepted,” said Pashinyan.

The summit is expected to be held in Yerevan, where issues of cooperation among the member countries of the European Political Community and regional security will be discussed.

Earlier, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had stated, “We have not yet sent a formal invitation, but we have extended a verbal invitation to Baku and Ankara to participate at the highest level in the European Political Community summit in Yerevan in May 2026.”
