Zohrap Mnatsakanyan's Response to Aliyev
“We will not do anything that leads to a deadlock, because we remain committed to the peaceful resolution of the process and will decisively move in that direction. It is a principled issue to acknowledge that Nagorno-Karabakh has a decisive voice and involvement, but at the same time, we need to practically accept that the expression of that decisive voice must be considered in terms of being able to work effectively within the negotiation process. We are negotiating both with Nagorno-Karabakh and within the framework of the Minsk Group regarding Azerbaijan,” said Foreign Minister Zohrap Mnatsakanyan during a conversation with reporters today, addressing the statement made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
It should be reminded that the Azerbaijani president stated: “The Armenian government is trying to change the format of negotiations. This is unacceptable and an attempt to block the negotiation process.”
