EU to Provide Ukraine with an Additional €1.8 Billion in Support
The European Union has approved the fifth package of the Ukraine Facility program, allocating over €1.8 billion to Ukraine. This new financial assistance aims to ensure the country's financial stability, the uninterrupted functioning of state institutions, and the implementation of reforms outlined in the recovery program.
This EU action is seen as part of a long-term support policy for Ukraine, aimed at mitigating the consequences of the war and stabilizing the economy. The Ukraine Facility program is set to provide multi-billion support until 2027, including financial, technical, and administrative assistance.
The new allocation will enable Kyiv to maintain budgetary balance and continue funding public services, including education, healthcare, and social security.
