Three Men and One Woman Arrested in Louvre Theft Case
Edita
The Paris prosecutor, Lor Becq, announced that the individuals involved in the recent theft from the Louvre in October are petty criminals living in the poorer suburbs of the French capital.
“It is, of course, not a very small, everyday criminal environment. However, it is a type that we generally do not associate with the upper echelons of organized crime,” he stated.
The prosecutor also added that the four individuals arrested in connection with the theft—three men and one woman—are “clearly local,” people who “more or less live in the Saint-Denis area.”
