Taline Municipality Starts Work in Church Courtyard Without Approval

The Aragattsotn Diocese announces that the Taline Municipality has begun works in the church courtyard without consulting the administrative council of the diocese. According to a statement issued by the Diocese of Aragattsotn, the municipality has decided to dismantle and renovate the church fence without informing or receiving approval from the administrative council.

The diocese claims that dismantling works started early in the morning, while the entire area of the church belongs to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The administrative council of the diocese condemned this action, labeling it as contemptuous, but emphasized its willingness to collaborate with anyone who contributes to the implementation of construction works at the church.

It is also noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, after attending a liturgy in Hovhannavank two Sundays ago, will visit Taline this Sunday to participate in the liturgy conducted by Father Tadeh.
