Father Arrested on Suspicion of Murdering 3-Year-Old Tigran

In Tsapatagh, the suspect in the apparent murder of a 3-year-old child has been arrested. This was reported to Auroranews.am by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

According to Armen Sarkissian, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, on November 3, it was revealed that a 3-year-old child had been killed by his father through suffocation in the village of Tsapatagh, Gegharkunik Province. The Investigative Committee reported that examinations confirmed the presence of injuries on the child's body and head.

In the same announcement, the committee also stated that the child's father was arrested on suspicion of murder.

It is worth noting that on October 27, 2025, the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reported that a resident of Tsapatagh village, 3-year-old Tigran Ovanesov, was being searched for as missing. After several days of search operations, on November 2, the police announced that rescuers had discovered the child's body.
