Baku Claims Evidence of Guilt Against Artsakh's Military-Political Leadership
The guilt of the military-political leadership of Artsakh has been considered proven by the Azerbaijani state prosecutor. During a court session at Baku's military court today, the chief prosecutor's first assistant, Vusal Aliyev, announced that the defendants are charged with crimes committed from 1998 to September 20, 2023. This was reported by the Azerbaijani state news agency 'Azertaj.'
“The defendants, victims, and witnesses have been interrogated. As the prosecuting side, we believe that the guilt of the defendants is substantiated by evidence,” Aliyev stated in his accusatory remarks, emphasizing that nearly 100 sessions have been held during the trial lasting about a year.
Vusal Aliyev also stated that the defendants indirectly participated in “the crimes committed by the Armenian state from 1998 to September 2023.” Azerbaijan accuses the military-political leadership of Artsakh of initiating and conducting war, genocide, terrorism, violent seizure of power, and other serious crimes.
It should also be noted that the prosecuting attorney asserted that only a portion of individuals responsible for numerous grievous acts stand before the court today.
