A Dispute Erupts In The Closed Session of the National Assembly Involving Haik Sargsyan

The joint session of the National Assembly's committees on November 3 was declared a closed format during the discussion on the security forces sector. The Director of the National Security Service, Andranik Simonian, and Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan arrived at the parliament to participate in the meeting.

According to NEWS.am, shortly after the session began, loud voices were heard from the hall, after which a 10-minute break was declared. Reports indicate that the reason for the dispute was the action of the ruling party MP Haik Sargsyan; he participated in the session using a computer, which is prohibited during closed meetings.

The MP was asked to remove the computer, but he refused, leading to heightened tension in the meeting. Ultimately, Haik Sargsyan left the room.
