China Knows What Will Happen if It Attacks Taiwan, Trump Says

During the "60 Minutes" program, the host asked U.S. President Donald Trump how the United States would respond to a potential Chinese invasion of Taiwan. Trump replied sharply, "I will not reveal my secrets or tell you what will happen if such a thing occurs. China’s leadership has openly stated that they will not do anything as long as Trump is president, because they know how that will end."

Trump also noted that the issue of Taiwan was "not even brought up" during recent negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Asia.
