Tehran Not Afraid of Negotiations, but Not of Dictation: Araqchi
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that Tehran is ready for negotiations if the other parties present a sincere and respectful approach.
According to IRNA, Araqchi emphasized that Iran has never had a problem with negotiations, but they must differ from dictation, orders, and threats. “The flag of negotiations and diplomacy has never been lowered in Iran. We are ready for fair and respectful dialogue,” stated Araqchi.
He added that President Masoud Pezeshkian's administration is taking steps to grant provincial officials greater powers and expand economic diplomacy. According to Araqchi, the main goal of the ministry is to overcome the consequences of economic sanctions by developing external economic ties.
Araqchi also highlighted that as long as threats and pressures continue, negotiations cannot yield results for Iran.
