Musk Launches Grokipedia as an Alternative to Wikipedia

Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, has unveiled a beta version of Grokipedia, touted as an encyclopedia created by AI to compete with Wikipedia.

Musk has long criticized Wikipedia for alleged "editorial bias." He previously described Grokipedia as a more "truthful and independent alternative."

Grokipedia’s operation differs from Wikipedia in at least one key aspect: it does not have explicit authors. While articles on Wikipedia are written and edited by volunteers, often anonymously, Grokipedia states that its articles have been fact-checked by Grok, a chatbot powered by Musk's xAI artificial intelligence.

Visitors to Grokipedia are unable to edit articles directly but can submit editing suggestions.
